Tuesdays nights is kickball nights. I love playing and have been playing for 3 seasons now. My hubby and I play on a MUSA league. 98% of the time it is fun, but when we play against people (guys) who take the game way too seriously, run up the score - it really stinks.
Our team is a melting pot, hodgepodge of people. We're together because a few people work together and then we've added people throughout the years. Overall the team has been together for 3 or 4 years. We mesh well together. We have fun.
The Tuesday league seems to be out for blood.
Last week we lost 13-1. The other team just ran up the score. I got mad - you just don't do that. And the funny thing is that we didn't care. It's one thing to play against a team that cares. It's another thing to run up the score on a team that could care less and is out there for fun.
That brings me to tonight. It's a late game. 9:00 PM. Our babysitter has a track meet. Therefor I am missing the game tonight. But I think it will be canceled. Remember that snow yesterday - yeah, well it is gone, but now we have rain. The field is probably a mess and not usable.
Am I sad that I am missing, yeah. I like playing, but deep down, if the rest of the teams are like what we played last week, well, I am not sad cause that team was full of jerks. Not my thing. I'm out there to have fun and share kool-aid. Not stick to schedules and run up the score.

Monday Morning Blasphemy
The calendar says spring, right? Well not here in good old Sconnie. Nope. We have snow. Yes my friends. Snow. Enough to cover the grass and the puppy’s poopin’ place, but not enough that I have to bust out the shovel. Said shovel has already been put away – that first 80 degree day that we had. When the girls and I were out playing in the yard and doing the mud dance.
Just proves to you why I do not buy my girls pretty Easter dresses. Sleeveless gowns do not belong in Wisconsin. Yeah – maybe I suck as a mom by not busting out the whole Easter Best for church (if we go), but really. I’d have to put a turtleneck under it. Really screams SPRING then.
On top of it being Monday we got slapped in the face by Mother Nature. Thanks’ Mom! You’re the bestest.
Thank God for coffee.
